Why does my Hyundai Elantra steering vibrate o r shake at high speeds?

When I drive my 2018 Elantra above 100 km/h on the motorway, I feel vibration in the steering wheel. I recently balanced the tires in Islamabad, but the problem persists. Could this be a suspension o r alignment issue, o r something related to the steering rack?

Vibration in the steering wheel at speeds above 100 km/h is typically due to wheel imbalance, alignment issues, o r worn steering components.

Common causes in Pakistan include:

Misaligned wheels from potholes o r speed breakers

Uneven tire wear due to lack of rotation o r poor suspension

Worn tie rods o r ball joints

Warped brake rotors if vibration occurs during braking

Action Steps:

Get a wheel balancing and alignment from a reputable tire shop

Inspect tie rods, control arms, and bushings — especially if you drive in rough areas like interior Punjab o r Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Check tires for bulges o r damage from bad roads

Routine inspection every 10,000–15,000 km is recommended for Pakistani road conditions.
