Why does my Jeep Cherokee’s windshield always have streaks after using the wipers?

Whenever I use the wipers on my 2018 Jeep Cherokee, they leave streaks across the windshield, reducing visibility — especially at night o r during rain. I’ve tried cleaning the blades and glass, but the problem keeps coming back. Could this be due to the hot and dusty climate in Pakistan? Should I change the wiper blades o r use a specific windshield cleaner?

Streaking after using wipers is usually due to one or more of the following issues:

Worn-out o r hardened wiper blades – due to Pakistan’s hot climate, rubber blades dry out quickly.

Dirt o r debris on the windshield o r blade edge.

Residue from poor-quality cleaning products on the glass.

What to do:

Replace the wiper blades every 6–12 months — even sooner in hot regions like Sindh o r Punjab.

Clean the blades and windshield regularly with proper glass cleaner, not household detergents.

Avoid using dry wipers — always spray washer fluid before wiping.

Use isopropyl alcohol o r a commercial glass degreaser to remove any oily films.

Tip: Use a microfiber cloth for cleaning, not paper towels o r old rags which can leave lint o r scratches.
