Why does the infotainment system in my Hyundai Elantra hang o r lag often?
The stock multimedia/infotainment system in my Hyundai Elantra frequently hangs, especially when using navigation o r switching between Bluetooth and radio. Sometimes the screen goes blank for a few seconds. Is this a software glitch in the Pakistani version, o r does it require a firmware update?

Yes, the infotainment system in Pakistani Hyundai Elantra variants has been reported to hang, lag, o r restart unexpectedly, especially while using navigation o r Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.
Common causes:
Outdated software: Many vehicles are running on old firmware that causes bugs.
Low processing power: The head unit uses a basic processor and limited RAM.
Overheating: Long use in hot weather can cause thermal lag.
Fixes:
Visit the dealership for a firmware update.
Avoid overloading the system by running too many apps simultaneously.
Use a high-quality USB cable for Android Auto/CarPlay to prevent disconnects.
If the issue continues, some users replace the unit with a better Android-based aftermarket system.
