Why doesn’t the Hyundai Elantra offer rear AC vents in Pakistan, and how to manage without them?

I was surprised to find that my Elantra GLS doesn’t have rear AC vents, which are available in other cars of this class. In the Pakistani summer, rear passengers often complain of poor cooling. Why did Hyundai Nishat exclude this feature, and are there any practical workarounds?

The Hyundai Elantra GLS in Pakistan does not include rear A/C vents, which is a big drawback in a sedan of this segment—especially given Pakistans climate.

Reasons for exclusion:

Cost-cutting decision by Hyundai Nishat.

Possibly based on market feedback prioritizing front comfort and features.

The A/C is powerful in the front, but airflow to the back is limited.

How to manage without rear vents:

Use A/C in full re-circulation mode to quickly cool the cabin.

Install clip-on fans o r rear air circulators available online o r in accessories shops.

Tint windows within legal limits o r use UV-reflective sunshades to reduce cabin heat.

This feature is sorely missed and present in rivals like the Corolla Altis Grande and Honda Civic Oriel.
