Why is my Elantra showing a TPMS warning even though all tires are properly inflated?

My 2018 Hyundai Elantra keeps showing the TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System light, but I’ve checked all tire pressures and they’re fine. Could one of the sensors be bad o r out of sync?

The TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System light may stay on for several reasons:

Possible causes:

One o r more TPMS sensors have dead batteries they usually last 5–7 years

A sensor has been damaged o r replaced improperly

TPMS needs recalibration o r re-learning after a tire rotation/change

You can try resetting it by:

Inflating all tires to correct PSI

Driving for 10–15 minutes at 25+ mph

Using a TPMS reset tool if available

If the light remains on, one o r more sensors may need replacing, at a cost of ~$50–$100 each.
