Why is my Hyundai Elantra leaking red fluid under the engine bay?

I noticed a red-colored fluid leaking from the front part of my 2018 Elantra after parking overnight. Could this be transmission fluid? What are the common causes of such leaks in Elantras in Pakistan?

Red fluid leaking from your Hyundai Elantra is most likely automatic transmission fluid ATF. In Elantras, this typically points to a few common culprits:

Damaged transmission pan gasket o r bolts – Often caused by age o r improper torqueing.

Worn-out axle shaft seals – These seals can wear due to heat o r road debris.

Cracked o r loose transmission cooler lines – Especially if the vehicle has been driven on bumpy roads.

Overfilled transmission – This can cause excess pressure and leakage.

In Pakistan, due to hotter climates and inconsistent road conditions, rubber seals and gaskets can deteriorate faster. It’s best to get it inspected at a certified Hyundai dealership o r trusted transmission specialist.
