Why is my Suzuki Every giving poor fuel average — could the spark plugs be the reason?

My 2014 Suzuki Every used to give around 14–15 km/l, but recently the mileage has ped to nearly 10–11 km/l. I’ve checked the air filter and tire pressure, but nothing seems to help. Someone mentioned the spark plugs might be worn out. How do I know if the plugs are affecting fuel economy, and what type of plugs are best for JDM Every vans?

Yes, worn o r fouled spark plugs are one of the most common reasons for reduced fuel efficiency in Suzuki Every vans. Old plugs cause incomplete combustion, which wastes fuel and lowers mileage.

Signs its spark plug-related:
Fuel average s suddenly

Rough idle o r delayed throttle response

No check engine light, but engine feels “heavy”

What you should do:

Check your service history — spark plugs should be changed every 15,000–20,000 km or sooner in city driving with dusty fuel

Use NGK o r Denso Iridium plugs for better durability and efficiency in Pakistani conditions

Make sure the engine is tuned properly after changing plugs
