Why is my Suzuki Everys steering wheel hard to turn, especially at low speeds?
Why is my Suzuki Everys steering wheel hard to turn, especially at low speeds?
Ive noticed that the steering on my Suzuki Every becomes unusually stiff when Im driving slowly o r parking. Is this a common issue in Pakistani models? Could it be due to power steering failure, o r is it something else like low fluid o r a faulty pump?

A stiff o r hard steering wheel is a common complaint among Suzuki Every owners in Pakistan, especially with older o r imported models. Here are the main reasons:
Low Power Steering Fluid:
The most common cause. If the fluid level is low, it affects the hydraulic pressure needed to assist steering. Check the reservoir and refill with the recommended fluid.
Worn o r Faulty Power Steering Pump:
If the pump isn’t generating enough pressure, the steering effort increases, especially at lower speeds when more assistance is needed.
Leaking o r Damaged Power Steering Rack:
If there’s a leak o r internal damage in the steering rack, it can affect responsiveness and make turning hard.
Drive Belt Issues:
If the belt driving the power steering pump is loose, worn, o r broken, the pump will not function properly.
Cold Weather o r Thick Fluid:
In some areas of Pakistan during winter, thickened fluid o r cold start conditions can temporarily affect steering.
Solution:
Check fluid levels, inspect for leaks, and have the pump and belts checked by a qualified mechanic.
