Why Is the Paint on My Suzuki Every Fading and Peeling So Quickly in the Sun?

I’ve noticed that the paint on the roof and bonnet of my Suzuki Every is fading and even peeling in some areas. I live in Karachi and park the van outside during the day. Is this due to poor factory paint quality on JDM models, o r is it just the sun? How can I protect it?

Paint fading and peeling is a common problem with JDM Suzuki Every vans in Pakistan. These vehicles were originally made for Japan’s milder climate, not for Pakistan’s harsh sun, pollution, and heat.

Causes:

Continuous exposure to UV rays.

Lack of clear coat o r weak paint protection in older JDM imports.

No regular waxing o r polishing to protect the surface.

What to do:

Apply a ceramic coating o r paint sealant.

Park in shaded areas o r use a car cover when parking outdoors.

For existing damage, you can repaint affected panels o r get a partial respray especially the roof and bonnet.
