The GLS 580 is powered by a 4.0L bi-turbo V8 with EQ Boost, delivering 483 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

The GLS 450 accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the GLS 580 does it in 5.2 seconds. Both models are electronically limited to a 250 km/h top speed. An adaptive air suspension system adjusts ride height for varying conditions, while a towing capacity of 7,700 lbs adds practicality.

Inside, the GLS-Class provides a high-end experience with premium upholstery options, including MB-Tex, leather, and Nappa leather. A three-row layout comes standard, with an optional six-seat version featuring second-row captain’s chairs. Unlike many rivals, the third row offers genuine space for adults.

Infotainment & Technology

The GLS features the advanced Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) with dual 12.3-inch screens—one for the instrument cluster and another as a central touchscreen. Voice control via “Hey Mercedes,” augmented reality navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging keep it tech-forward. A Burmester sound system with up to 25 speakers ensures an immersive audio experience.
