FAW V2 Assembling in Pakistan

According to the Chinese state-owned automotive manufacturing company FAW Motors, the locally assembled passenger car FAW V2 has been launched in Pakistan. FAW was formed in 2007 in collaboration with Al-Haj and it is the fastest growing Chinese automotive company.

An event was hosted by company’s MD Bilal Afridi while it was attended by vendors and dealers from around Pakistan.
Assembling this car is a history as it is the first 1300cc passenger car to be assembled in Pakistan ever. The MD told that the company will be set up with the initial investment of 2.5 billion rupees while the investment of 1.3 billion rupees is for ED Paint technology and an improved local assembly set up for cars.
He also assured about advancement in technology along with dealership network in all major Pakistani cities, premium 3S customer service and warranty of 3 years o r 60,000 km.
Important features of car are dual airbags, fuel average of 14-15 km/liter and its availability in 5 colors. The car also has the ability to climb mountains. Price of the car is Rs. 1,070,000.
According to the claims made by the Chinese company, local assembling of their cars will help the customers to get quality assurance of the FAW vehicles. Aim of the company is to introduce new models in Pakistan soon and also to increase its production to 15,000 units per year by 2020.
The customers will get lower prices as compared to the CBU with the locally assembled V2 while it will also be free of registration costs and taxation due to lower displacement engine.
