Govt Issues Strict Driving License Rules for Employees

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has launched a dedicated campaign to enforce the Govt Driving License Deadline, ensuring that all government employees hold valid licenses before the cut-off date. Officials have warned that strict action will be taken against violators once the drive ends on September 26.

The initiative, which began midweek, will continue for nine days. To make the process easier, licenses are being issued both at ITP offices and through mobile service vans operating in different areas of the capital. This step is part of the broader Driving License Policy Pakistan, which seeks to improve compliance and road safety.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun explained that the campaign was introduced after enforcement teams discovered a large number of government employees driving vehicles without valid permits during routine checks at Secretariat Blocks. He highlighted that the Govt Employee Driving License Rules are clear, and employees must act responsibly by setting an example for the general public.

He further stressed that the Mandatory Driving License Pakistan policy applies to every driver without exception. “All available resources have been allocated to streamline the issuance process,” the CTO stated. Employees found violating the Govt Driving License Regulation after September 26 will face legal action under the Employee Driving License Requirement directive.

The ITP has strongly advised staff members not to delay, urging them to utilize the facilities provided through the campaign. Authorities reiterated that the Pakistan Driving License Deadline is final and will not be extended under any circumstances.
