New M-Tag Points Opened Across Islamabad - Details Info
The federal government has officially expanded its security measures by introducing multiple Islamabad M-Tag centers to streamline the verification of vehicles entering and operating within the capital. The initiative comes as part of the government’s enhanced security strategy, ensuring smoother monitoring and improved safety across the region. This move directly supports the ongoing M-Tag issuance Islamabad drive, which aims to bring every vehicle under a unified digital identification system.
During a recent discussion on the “Secure Neighbourhood Survey,” Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon highlighted that the Islamabad motorway M-Tag system is a crucial tool for creating a safer environment. According to him, digital tagging plays a vital role in tracking vehicle movement and improving law enforcement efficiency. Earlier, Memon had announced that the government would start issuing M-Tags from November 18; however, the specific M-Tag registration locations were not disclosed at that time.
In his latest update, the DC revealed that the district administration has now established M-Tag facilities in Islamabad at seven convenient locations, operating daily from 9 am to 9 pm. These M-Tag distribution points have been selected to ensure easy access for residents and visitors alike. The newly activated centers include:
- Kachnar Park
- Lake View Park
- F-9 Park
- Islamabad Club
- Tarlai
- 26 Number
- Excise Office
These fresh Motorway M-Tag new spots will help motorists complete their registration without delays, especially as the system has now been declared mandatory by the federal authorities. Vehicles entering Islamabad from other cities are also required to secure an M-Tag before accessing major routes or the expressway. Officials have stressed that this rule applies even to those visiting the city temporarily.
The decision to enforce M-Tag usage across all routes follows a recent security incident involving a suicide car explosion in the capital. In response, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed all institutions to tighten monitoring and enforce digital identification on every vehicle. This step is part of a comprehensive M-Tag government update designed to strengthen checkpoints and ensure real-time verification.
Residents of Islamabad and frequent travelers are strongly advised to complete the M-Tag process Islamabad at the earliest. With multiple Islamabad M-Tag services now operational, motorists can avoid unnecessary delays and comply with the government’s safety regulations. Obtaining an M-Tag is not only a legal requirement but also an essential contribution to maintaining a secure and well-regulated capital city.
