An owner’s Review of Nissan GT-R R35

Nissan GT-R35 was bought to Pakistan in 2017. The car is rich in performance and history and Nissan took a very long time to produce this model. Exterior

Nissan GT-R R35 as exterior wise looks like a sports cars. The GT-R exterior design reveals that it gets a road presence. The windows of the car are without frames. The car can easily go over bumps despite of low ground clearance. The reviewed car has a grey exterior. It is also available in dark colors as well. This car can also be taken on race mode on the track. The top of the boot is provided with big spoiler which helps in easy handling and to stabilize the car. The optimization of the width of the car is also made to enhance the stability of the car as well.



Interior

Nissan GT-R has a interior with dials and toggles, sophisticated technology, chunks of grey and black plastic, and a giant steering wheel with exposed metal. The car is featured with a sound system built with Bose Premium. The exclusively built sound system for this car has 11 speakers. It has also subwoofers between the rear seats. In winters the warm seats are provided. Interiorly, the car is designed simplified and al controls are easily accessible to the driver. The car also has an automatic gearbox. The GT-R has two interior colors like maroon and black. The steering wheel has media controls at right side and performance gauge controls at the left side. At the center console area of the cabin it has carbon fiber accents. The push-start button is given in the center console behind the gear lever.



Performance

The Nissan GT-R is housed with a 3.8L twin-turbo V6 engine. It now produces between 1300 to 1350 bhp. This power output makes this car the fastest one in Pakistan. The owner increased the power from 450 to 1300 bhp in steps. First, he increased it to 600 bhp then to 850, 1100, and finally to 1300 bhp. The owner uses E85 ethanol fuel for this car. This car also comes with paddle shifters. The information cluster provides information on acceleration, boost, brake, engine oil temperature, water temperature, fuel range, torque, steering, and speed.
Earlier the transmission, specifically with the launch control system, which was too harsh and was difficult to drive and control. The launch control system damaged the transmission. In 2019, the transmissions were also reproduced and after that the issue got resolved. The car under review does not have any such issue as the owner changes its transmission. The car is now housed with a Sheptrans transmission. The car’s speed is now 0 to 60mph in 2.4 seconds. It covers a distance of quarter mile in just 9 km/I and owner reveals that the top speed of the car is 400 km/h.



Comfort and Handling

The car has dual clutch transmission due to which the drive is easy and comfortable on the highway. The car is provided with Toyo tyres which produce high amount of power. The car is for wheel drive option that causes easy handling also. Four wheel drives also helps in acceleration from a standstill. Handling is also improved by the help of traction and wheel dynamic controls.



Safety

The car is fitted with Brembo brakes which ensure the safety of the car. Car can also be modified by installing capable brakes. The owner wants to install the carbon ceramic brakes in this car in future. The car gets safer due to the intelligent mobility system from Nissan. Other safety features of the car are ABS and EBD, six airbags, and pressure monitoring system.
