The all new Toyota Indus Motor Company at last has uncovered the 6th generation Toyota Hiace Deluxe as its commercial purpose vehicle in Pakistan.The first and popular model of this Hiace series was launched in 1967. This model was highly accepted in Pakistan too at the time of its launching. The company has already launched 6th generation model in Philippines and this year it has launched in the auto market of Pakistan. In Pakistan Toyota has been launched its three vehicles. Which are given below:

1. Toyota Hiace Deluxe Standard Roof Commuter
2. Toyota Hiace Deluxe High-Roof Commuter
3. Toyota Hiace Deluxe High-Roof Tourer



Engine Power:

Toyota Hiace has engine power of 1GD-FTV 16-Valve DOHC 4-cylinder 2.8L diesel engine. All the cylinders are ordered in one line. This helps to keep the surrounding atmosphere clean. All three vehicles have system of direct injection fuel. Toyota Hiace has the 2755 cc with the compression ratio 15:6 and has maximum power of 130 kW at 3400 rpm in the deluxe standard roof commuter vehicle. The remaining two vehicles have 115 kW at 36 rpm. It can be achieved the torque of 420 Nm at maximum 2600 rpm. The commuter models are having manual transmission and tourer model has automatic.



Weight and Dimensions:

6th generation models are quite large as compare to the previous models of Toyota.The standard roof vehicle comes with the length, width, and height of 5265 mm, 1950 mm and 1990 mm respectively. The wheelbase of this variant is 3210 nm. The weight of the van is 2165 kg. This vehicle has 15 persons capacity. On the other way, the high-roof vehicles have wider dimensions of 5915 mm, 1950 mm and 2280 mm. The wheelbase for this variants is 3860 mm. the weight of high roof commuter is 2475 kg and the weight of high roof tourer is 2475.High-roof commuter has sitting capacity of 17 persons and the tourer vehicle has 14 persons. All version have same fuel capacity which is 70 ltrs.



Braking System & Suspension:

All the new 6th generation versions have improved braking and suspension system. Toyota takes the responsibility of safety of the passengers. That’s why Toyota used ventilated disc brake at the front and leading-trailing drum brake at the rear in standard roof vehicle. But on the other side both the hi-roof models have ventilated brakes at the rear and the front. These variants come with Macpherson strut suspension.



Exterior Design:

The manufacturers improved the outside design of these variants. The manufacturers of the Toyota Hiace have entirely changed the outside look of these cars. The bonnet of these commercial vehicles is extended by the company. This extension helps the engine to get fit in the front of car. This extension also helps in the maintenance of engine. Toyota has improved the quality of the head lights in these variants. This improvement also helps the vision in the night.
