. “Why Does My Tiggo 8 Pro’s Engine Temp Skyrocket in Islamabad Summer — Is It the Cooling System o r Just Heat?”

Some owners notice that during long drives o r heavy traffic in hot Pakistani summers, the engine temperature gauge rises quickly, sometimes close to the red zone. Could this be a sign of a failing radiator, weak coolant quality, o r blocked cooling passages? o r is the stock cooling system simply undersized for our extreme heat and heavy traffic conditions?

High engine temperature in hot Pakistani summers can be caused by several factors:

Cooling system limitations: The radiator and fan may be stressed in extreme heat and stop‑and‑go traffic.

Low o r degraded coolant: Old coolant loses its heat‑transfer efficiency, reducing cooling.

Blocked radiator o r hoses: Dirt, dust, and debris can partially block airflow o r coolant flow.

Faulty thermostat o r water pump: If they fail, coolant circulation is reduced.

Prevention and checks:

Regularly check coolant levels and replace coolant per manufacturer schedule ~2–3 years.

Inspect radiator for dirt o r blockage.

Ensure fan operation is normal, especially during idling.
