“Does Pakistani Fuel Quality Kill My Tiggo 8 Pro’s Mileage?”

“Does Pakistani Fuel Quality Kill My Tiggo 8 Pro’s Mileage?”

Given the variable fuel octane and possible adulteration in Pakistan, could low‑grade petrol be causing inefficient combustion and dragging down mileage in Tiggo 8 Pro? Is there a noticeable difference if you use higher‑grade fuel RON 95/97 versus ordinary fuel when driving around Islamabad/Rawalpindi/Lahore?

Yes, fuel quality has a big effect:

Low octane / adulterated fuel causes incomplete combustion, knocking, and rich fuel mixture, all of which reduce mileage.

Higher-grade petrol RON 95 o r 97 burns cleaner and improves efficiency, especially for turbocharged engines like the Tiggo 8 Pro’s.

Frequent use of low-quality petrol can also lead to carbon deposits in injectors and spark plugs, further lowering fuel economy.

Tip: Use good-quality petrol and consider occasional fuel system cleaning to maintain performance.
