How often should I replace Mini Cooper spark plugs in Pakistan?

: I’m unsure about the replacement interval for spark plugs in my Mini Cooper, especially given Pakistan’s dusty roads and variable fuel quality. What is the recommended replacement interval for standard and high-performance spark plugs, and are there any special maintenance tips for Pakistani conditions to prevent engine issues?

Replacement intervals depend on the spark plug type and driving conditions:

Standard copper plugs: Every 30,000–35,000 km

Platinum o r iridium plugs common in modern Mini Coopers: Every 60,000–90,000 km

Pakistan-specific considerations: Due to dusty roads, urban stop-and-go traffic, and variable fuel quality, it’s advisable to inspect spark plugs every 20,000–25,000 km and replace sooner if signs of fouling o r wear appear.

Maintenance tips:

Always use OEM o r high-quality aftermarket plugs.

Keep air and fuel filters clean to reduce contamination.

Monitor engine performance misfires o r rough idling are early indicators of worn plugs.
