Need advise for my Santro Exec EFi (Petrol) 2005
Asalamualaikum,
I have just bought a 2005 Hyundai Santro EFi Exec (Without CNG) with 4400 kms on its meter Ivory White colour and would like to have advice from PW experts in the following areas:
1. Which engine oil is more suitable for this car?
2. The car still has its second FFS coupon unused. When should I take it for its second FFS?
3. Which of the following parts should I change immediately:
- Spark Plugs;
- Plug wires;
- Oil filter;
- Air filter;
- Fuel filter;
- Anything else?
4. If anything (as above) should be changed, then what should I go for. Forexample should I go for Locus, Eyquem, Splitfire, NGK, ND, also which ones .... irridium, one, two three or four points, etc. Oil filter etc, then which ones.
5. What special things / points do I need to take care of while taking care of this specific car - engine wise and exterior body wise and interior wise.
6. Which car polish is best suited for this Ivory White Santro car?
7. What tyre pressure is ideal for this (non CNG) Santro Exec?
8. It is my first experience with a power steering car. What things do I need to take care of in this area to maintain it and keep it in perfect condition.
9. Since this is also my first EFi car, previously it was a carby, so what additional things do I need to take care of to have a hassle free driving experience.
10. How much fuel efficient is this car Rs. x / km OR x Km / litre wise and how do I increase its fuel efficiency without effecting performance.
If anyone of you have owned and driven a Hyundai Santro Exec (EFi) 2004 - 2006 models, please share your experience.
Thankyou in advance.

Hello!
well here are your answers...!
1.Engine Oil.:- in locals...nothing is better than Caltex Havoline........Shell and PSO one are not upto mark...they gave up earlier...Havoline is best....
2.when you fell it...b/w don't take it when its running all fine bcz sometimes..they make it worse than before...not sometimes...its mostly here in Pakistan
3.CHeck engine Oil and AIr filter 1st....if bad replace...if oil is leaving its viscosity...change it along with oil filter....! Sprak plug change...is you fell it lagging...then check it..otherwise no use...fuel filter...again if u fell any lag in acceleration and fells like something is restriciting you....check fuel filter...!
4.i prefer to use its company specified spark plugs.....as car is not converted on CNG...so don't experiments on it....stick with "DENSO W16Ex-u"......its commonly used in all 1.0L engines...Toyota Recommend this....and almost all car makers do...or the one specified by Hyundai...
5.well....the most imp thing u need to care about is how u get it serviced...as you know very well...its and Efi car...and Efi all works on sensors located at different places...so never ever try to wash your engine freely with water and hard detergent like all did on carb cars....!
if waters gets into bad place....electricals mess up and serever damange can be done.....waxing in 2 months with good wax and good dash cleaner works fine......!
6.Formula 1 is what i have listened or any good one available in market...!
7.i think its written in car owners manual already....well mostly in summers....30 front 30 rear are suitable..
in winters 28 front and 30 rear is all right...!i prefer you to get your own gauage...i have my own..cost you around 250/- dial type....bcz i never believe on tyre shop gauges..
8.all you need to check is its fluid level...i check it almost daily...and alwayz have eye on PS pump along with steering rack for any kind of oil leak...!
9..well water servicing was whats the best thing to care...also don't let any desi mechanic messup with wiring for any kinda work....and last but not least....try filling up your car with CALTEX fuel..they have better than others..TECHRON is what impressed me.....which results in cleaner engine internals...results in cleaner emission means clean sensors and long lasting fuel effeciency...!
10.well i listen in normal Khi city drive...its around 10~11km...don't have any exp..fuel effeciency....try avoiding bumpy roads which needs alot of braking....and choose one good way which is clean as well as trafficless.
well thats what i can post...
Drive Save...!
Thanxx
