Common Causes:

Weak primer bonding o r poor-quality factory paint — Bravo’s early units 2018–2020 often had substandard paint adhesion.

Stone chips and road debris — low-quality clear coat makes chips spread faster.

Moisture under paint due to improper sealing o r panel rust.

Poor paint thickness at edges and corners — typical in budget car assembly.

Rough washing o r polishing using hard brushes.

How to Diagnose:

Inspect door edges, wheel arches, bonnet and trunk joints for small paint lifts o r rust spots.

Lightly rub fingernail over chipped area — if paint lifts easily, adhesion is poor.

Check if underlying metal shows rust — indicates water seepage.

Fix & Maintenance:

For minor chipping:

Sand the area lightly.

Apply touch-up primer + paint + clear coat pen available from United dealerships.

Cost: Rs 500–1,000 per panel DIY.

For severe peeling:

Sand down to metal, reapply primer and repaint affected panel Rs 3,000–6,000 locally.

Use paint protection film PPF on edges and wheel arches after repaint.

Apply rust converter before painting if any corrosion is visible.

Always wash gently — avoid brushes o r rough cloths at service stations.
