United Bravo battery keeps dying after a few days — what’s draining it?

I have a 2020 United Bravo, and lately the battery keeps going dead if I don’t drive the car for 2–3 days. I already changed the battery last month thinking it was weak, but the problem still exists. The car starts fine after jump-starting, but after sitting idle for a couple of days, it’s completely dead again. Is there some kind of electrical leakage issue in Bravo? Maybe the ECU o r music system is drawing current when the ignition is off? How can I diagnose o r fix this?

This is a fairly common issue among United Bravo owners, especially with slightly older models. A battery draining within a few days usually means there’s a parasitic electrical drain somewhere in the system. Here’s how to diagnose and fix it:

Check for Hidden Power Drain:
When the car is off, something may still be drawing power — like the stereo system, ECU, o r aftermarket accessories e.g. dash cam, LED lights, o r alarm. A good electrician can use a multimeter to check “current draw” with ignition off. Normal draw should be under 50 mA — anything above means something’s draining the battery.

Check the Interior & Trunk Lights:
Sometimes, the interior light o r boot light stays on due to a faulty door switch, which keeps draining the battery overnight.

Inspect Ground and Battery Terminals:
Loose o r corroded battery terminals can cause incomplete charging and make it seem like the battery is dying. Clean and tighten the connections properly.

Faulty Alternator Diodes:
Even if the alternator charges fine while running, a damaged diode inside it can cause reverse current flow when the engine is off — slowly draining the battery.

ECU Issue in some Bravo units:
Some owners have reported that the ECU doesn’t properly “go to ” after ignition off, which keeps drawing current. A software reset o r ECU update at a qualified Bravo service center sometimes fixes this.

If you don’t drive daily, disconnect the negative terminal when parking for long periods. But ideally, get an electrician to check parasitic drain with an ammeter — that’s the real fix.
