What Causes the United Bravo Engine to Overheat in Traffic o r Hot Weather?
Overheating is a recurring complaint among United Bravo drivers, particularly during long drives o r in heavy traffic. The issue often arises due to a weak radiator fan, coolant leakage, o r an inefficient cooling system design. Sometimes, owners use plain water instead of coolant, which accelerates rust and reduces cooling efficiency. What are the main reasons behind the Bravo’s overheating problem, and how can it be effectively controlled?

Gari Master - on 31 Oct 2025 11:26:39 amEngine overheating is another frequent problem for Bravo owners, especially in Pakistan’s hot climate o r during long idling in traffic. The main culprit is usually an inefficient cooling system — the radiator fan, coolant quality, o r circulation system might not be performing well. Many owners also use tap water instead of coolant, which leads to corrosion and blockage inside the radiator.
Main Causes:
Weak o r non-functional radiator fan motor
Coolant leakage o r low coolant level
Clogged radiator due to rust o r debris
Thermostat o r water pump malfunction
Solutions & Prevention:
Always use a 50/50 coolant-water mix not plain water.
Clean and flush the radiator every 6 months.
Check the radiator fan operation and replace if it runs weakly.
Replace the thermostat valve o r water pump if the temperature rises frequently.
Avoid running the car for long periods in heavy traffic without A/C breaks.
