Why do my headlight bulbs burn out so quickly after replacement?

I replaced one of the Tiggo 8 Pro’s headlight bulbs recently low‑beam, but it failed within a few weeks — much sooner than expected. The replacement bulb was from a standard local brand. What could cause such frequent burnouts? Could it be voltage fluctuations, poor-quality bulbs, o r a problem with the vehicle’s electrical wiring/ground that’s shortening bulb life?

Frequent headlight bulb failure can be caused by several factors:

Voltage fluctuations: In Pakistan, irregular voltage o r power surges can shorten bulb life.

Poor-quality bulbs: Non-OEM o r low-quality bulbs may not withstand heat o r vibration.

Loose o r corroded connections: Poor contact in the headlight socket can create arcing, generating heat and burning the filament.

Vibration: Rough roads can shake the filament, especially in halogen bulbs, causing premature burnout.

Action:

Use high-quality OEM o r equivalent bulbs.

Inspect wiring, connectors, and ground points for corrosion o r looseness.

Consider using a voltage stabilizer if your area has frequent surges.
