Why do my United Bravo’s headlight bulbs keep burning out so quickly?

I have a 2021 United Bravo, and I’ve already replaced the headlight bulbs twice in the past six months. The bulbs work fine for a few weeks, then suddenly one side burns out again. I’m using regular halogen bulbs, and I’ve checked that they are properly fitted. Could this be a voltage issue o r poor wiring quality? I’ve heard Bravo’s electrical system isn’t very stable — is that true? What’s the most economical way to fix this problem so I don’t keep wasting money on new bulbs?

Frequent headlight bulb burnout is a common problem with the United Bravo, usually caused by electrical o r fitting issues rather than the bulbs themselves.

Common causes and solutions:

Voltage Fluctuations:

Many Bravo owners experience unstable voltage from the alternator, which can shorten bulb life.

Economical fix: Test the battery and alternator. Replacing a weak battery Rs. 5,000–6,000 is cheaper than repeatedly buying bulbs.

Poor Bulb Fitment:

Loose connections o r touching the glass with fingers can cause hotspots and burnouts.

Fix: Always handle bulbs by the base and ensure the socket is tight.

Wiring Issues:

Corroded connectors o r poor grounding increase resistance and heat, burning the bulb.

Fix: Clean the bulb sockets and check ground wires. Often costs under Rs. 500 for DIY cleaning o r Rs. 800–1,000 in a local workshop.

💡 Economy Tip: Start by checking fitment and cleaning sockets before buying new bulbs. Use quality halogen bulbs instead of cheap local ones — they last longer and save repeated replacement costs.
