Why do the power locks click but the doors don’t lock/unlock?Why do the power locks click but the doors don’t lock/unlock?

I press the remote key fob o r the in‑car lock button, and I hear a faint “click” noise from the doors — but the door actually stays locked or stays unlocked, the latch doesn’t move. This happens sometimes on all doors o r sometimes only one door. Could it be a worn actuator, a weak motor inside the lock mechanism, o r a failing linkage between the actuator and latch in my Tiggo 8 Pro?

When you hear a click but the door doesn’t move, the issue is usually the door lock actuator o r linkage:

Worn o r weak actuator motor: The motor inside the lock may be too weak to move the latch.

Faulty linkage: The rod o r mechanism connecting the actuator to the door latch may be loose, bent, o r disconnected.

Electrical issues: Voltage o r poor wiring can prevent the actuator from receiving full power.

Action:

Inspect the door actuator and linkage inside the door panel.

Check for loose o r disconnected rods.

Test the actuator with direct 12V power replace if it doesn’t operate correctly.
