“Why Does My Tiggo 8 Pro Misfire o r Hesitate on Acceleration — Are Spark Plugs to Blame?”

Some drivers notice occasional engine misfires, rough revs, o r hesitation when they press the accelerator — especially after driving in heavy city traffic o r on longer trips. Could worn‑out o r fouled spark plugs be causing incomplete combustion and that rough throttle response? How often should the plugs be checked o r replaced under Pakistani driving conditions heat, fuel quality, stop‑and‑go traffic?

Misfires o r hesitation are often caused by worn o r fouled spark plugs:

Worn electrodes reduce spark intensity, causing incomplete combustion.

Carbon o r fuel deposits can foul plugs, especially with low-quality fuel common in Pakistan.

Incorrect gap o r heat rating can reduce performance.

Solution:

Inspect and replace spark plugs according to the manufacturer’s interval usually 40,000–60,000 km for standard plugs, longer for iridium/platinum.

Use recommended spark plug type and gap.

Check ignition coils and wiring if misfire persists after changing plugs.
