Why Does the United Bravo’s Fuel Tank Capacity Seem Insufficient for Long Trips?

Owners frequently complain that the Bravo’s small fuel tank around 30 liters limits its range on highways and long journeys. With moderate fuel consumption and small engine size, the need for frequent refueling can become inconvenient, particularly in rural areas where fuel stations are scarce. What factors contribute to this limited driving range, and are there ways to improve fuel efficiency o r manage refueling better?

The Bravo’s 30-liter fuel tank limits its driving range, which can be inconvenient for long-distance travelers o r those living in areas with fewer petrol stations. Despite being a small car, its real-world fuel consumption around 12–15 km/l in city driving doesn’t allow for extended travel without refueling.

Main Causes:

Small tank design due to compact car structure

Moderate fuel efficiency compared to expectations for an 800cc car

Fuel quality and traffic conditions reducing mileage performance

Solutions & Tips:

Plan refueling stops before long trips to avoid running low in remote areas.

Maintain the car’s fuel system and use high-quality fuel for better efficiency.

Keep tire pressure at recommended levels to reduce drag.

Avoid excessive idling o r rapid acceleration to conserve fuel.

Consider carrying a small certified spare fuel can for emergencies only when safe and legal.
