Why does Tiggo 8 Pro make a single “click” but the engine won’t crank?

Every time I turn the ignition key, I hear a single “click‑click,” but the engine doesn’t turn over. The battery seems fine — lights and accessories power up, but there’s no crank. Could this be a problem with the starter motor solenoid, brushes, o r internal failure, o r is it more likely a weak battery o r a wiring/connection issue?

A single click when turning the key usually points to a starter motor o r electrical issue. Common causes:

Weak o r discharged battery: Even if lights work, there may not be enough current to crank the engine.

Loose o r corroded battery/starter connections: Prevent sufficient current flow to the starter.

Faulty starter solenoid o r motor: The solenoid may click but fail to engage the starter drive.

Action: Check battery voltage and connections, inspect starter motor terminals, and if those are fine, bench-test the starter.
