Higher Fuel Average
Nov 16 2024I’ve had the Sonata for about 4 months now and have driven around 3,000 km. Overall, its a fantastic car that offers most of the luxury features youd find in German cars, all at a much more affordable price.
In terms of fuel economy, I’m getting around 10.5 to 12 km/l in the city, which I think is decent, though not the best. Performance-wise, it’s generally good, though I do feel a slight lack of power when overtaking at speeds above 120 km/h.
On the highway, the Sonata really shines. It’s given me an impressive 15 km/l when cruising between 2,500 to 3,400 RPM. Even better, with cruise control set at 120 km/h, I’ve managed a remarkable 16.5 km/l, which is higher than my previous 1.5L Civic 11th Gen.
Overall, the Sonata 2.5L offers great value, blending luxury, fuel efficiency, and solid performance, especially considering the price.
