Better Than Accidental Imported Cars In 660cc Category
Jan 07 2025The exterior design is decent, and the dual-tone interior of the VXL variant stands out with its LCD display and in-dash gear lever. Considering its 660cc engine and excellent fuel economy, the car doesn’t feel underpowered for city driving. Its a city car, and expecting exceptional performance on highways o r motorways might be unrealistic for a vehicle in this category.
Before purchasing the Alto, I reviewed auction sheets for various Japanese 660cc cars and found that about 90% of them were accident-damaged and repaired post-import. For peace of mind, opting for a brand-new Alto is the better choice.
The build quality could be improved, but given the lack of competitors o r alternative local 660cc options, Suzuki takes advantage by pricing it high. One major drawback is the engine noise inside the cabin, which should be addressed by the manufacturer. To reduce the noise, I installed a bonnet insulator and 7D floor mats, which helped. Full floor matting might provide even better results.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the features the Alto offers for its price.
