Overated Truck
Nov 14 2024The Hilux Revo is a good-looking mid-size truck, but after using it, I feel its not quite enough for what I expected. It’s definitely powerful off-road, but its not very quick, and the handling becomes problematic after 160 km/h—it’s not very stable at those speeds.
In terms of comfort, it’s also lacking. It’s not as comfortable as I would like, especially for long drives. As for fuel consumption, it’s somewhat disappointing. While it’s a 2.8L diesel, the fuel economy is in the range of 6-9 km/l, which isn’t great when compared to my Prado, which is a 4.0L and still manages 6-11 km/l.
Overall, I feel like the Revo is an overrated pickup truck, especially considering its high price. In my opinion, the 60-70 lac price would be a fair price for a new Revo.
