Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic gold medalist, continues to receive a flood of gifts and accolades from across the country. Last week, Nadeem made history by breaking the Olympic record with a javelin throw exceeding 90 meters. This remarkable achievement not only marked the end of a 32-year Olympic medal drought for Pakistan but also made Nadeem the first Pakistani to win an individual gold medal in 40 years.

Chief Minister’s Visit and Gifts
In a gesture of national pride and celebration, Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, visited Nadeem's home village in Mian Channu. During her visit, she congratulated the athlete personally and presented him with a cheque of Rs. 10 crore. Additionally, she gifted him a Honda Civic adorned with a special number plate reading PAK 92.97, reflecting the distance of his historic throw.

Arshad Nadeem gained significant attention for his outstanding performances in the Asian and Commonwealth Games, as well as his competitive matches against Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra. His talent was recognized earlier when Toyota Pakistan became an official sponsor of Nadeem in the lead-up to the Paris Olympics 2024.
