HUBCO Green Takes Lead with Pakistan’s 1st EV Charging Hub

HUBCO Green (Private) Limited (HGL), a subsidiary of Hub Power Holdings Limited (HPHL), has taken a major step toward advancing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in Pakistan by inaugurating its first EV charging station at Ocean Mall, Karachi. This milestone marks the start of an ambitious plan to establish a comprehensive nationwide EV charging network, targeting motorways, highways, urban centers, and premium locations like shopping malls and commercial hubs.

Driving the Shift Towards Sustainable Mobility

The global automotive industry is rapidly evolving with the rise of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). In Pakistan, this transformation is still in its early stages, but the National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP) outlines ambitious goals:

30% of all new passenger vehicles and heavy-duty trucks to be electric by 2030.
90% of new sales to be electric by 2040.

This initiative aims to foster the growth of Pakistan’s Electric Car Price in Pakistan market while aligning with global sustainability efforts.
