In a bold move to enhance its electric motorcycle lineup, Vlektra has officially introduced a new version of its long-range EV, the Vlektra Velocity 180. The latest model, now known as the Velocity 180 Special Edition, brings a host of performance upgrades and design refinements—all while retaining its remarkable 180 km range per charge.

Powerful Performance and Speed Boost

The core highlight of this Velocity 180 upgrade is the switch to a more robust 2000W BLDC motor, replacing the previous 1500W hub motor featured in the standard model. This enhancement pushes the top speed to 85 km/h, a solid increase from the original 65 km/h benchmark. Alongside, the torque has been bumped up from 100 Nm to 120 Nm, making this Vlektra Velocity 180 2025 model a high-performance machine in its class of new electric motorcycles.

Enhanced Ride and Safety Features

The Vlektra EV bike now comes with front and rear dual disc brakes, delivering better stopping power and control. The addition of tubeless tires increases durability, while three riding modes—including a reverse assist function—offer a tailored riding experience depending on terrain and preference. Charging time has also improved slightly, with the Special Edition requiring just 3.5 hours to fully charge using a 10 Amp AC charger, compared to 4 hours in the standard version.

Both the standard and Vlektra Velocity 180 special edition models are equipped with a 72V 36Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, offering long-term reliability and efficient performance. However, the Special Edition sets itself apart with a fiery red color finish, giving it a distinctive and bold appearance that reflects its upgraded capabilities.
