Toyota Allion Overview

The 2nd Generation Toyota Allion was launched in 2007 as a subcompact sedan with a front-engine front-wheel-drive configuration. It was built on the same platform as the 2nd Generation Toyota Premio. The Toyota Allion 2007 was designed to cater to a younger audience with its more elegant design and proportions, whereas the Toyota Premio was aimed at a more mature customer base. The Allion was positioned to fill the gap between the high-end Toyota Camry and the low-end Toyota Corolla.

Exterior

The 2007 Toyota Allion has a unique design language featuring sharp trapezium-styled side-swept headlights, an angular black grille, a rectangular air intake, and a large flush bumper. The rear end has angular sharp side-swept taillights, a chrome trim piece, and a large rear bumper. All variants have identical styling, which can stand out among their competitors.


Interior

The interior of the 2nd Generation Toyota Allion has black and polished silver plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard options include automatic climate control, power windows, tachometer, central power locks, cup holders, power steering, dual front airbags, cruise control, and traction control. The higher-end variants have leather upholstery, Xenon headlights, and wood paneling. Optional features include satellite navigation, adaptive cruise control, leather upholstery, and a sunroof. The Allion offers a good level of comfort and interior refinement, with a spacious interior for a subcompact sedan of its exterior dimensions.


Engine and Gearbox

The Toyota Allion 2007 is available in three engine options:
  • 1.5-liter DOHC 16 Valve Inline-4 (110bhp@6000RPM)
  • 1.8-liter DOHC 16 Valve Dual VVT-I Inline-4 (140bhp@6200RPM)
  • 2.0-liter DOHC 16 Valve Dual VVT-I Inline-4 (168bhp@6200RPM)
All variants have a Super CVT-I transmission. The Toyota Allion 2007 can achieve an average of up to 17KM/L (1.5L), 16KM/L (1.8L), and 15KM/L (2.0L), with an estimated driving range of up to 1020KM, 960KM, and 900KM, respectively, from the 60-liter fuel tank.
