Hyundai Inster: A New Affordable EV Set to Launch

Back in January, news emerged that Hyundai was developing an electric vehicle (EV) inspired by the Casper ICE model, which is sold in Korea. Recently, Hyundai has started to tease this new model and has officially named it the Inster. The decision to not stick with the Casper name, which many find endearing, is puzzling, but the company has chosen to go a different route.

The Hyundai Inster is set to debut in Korea first, with plans to expand to Europe. In Europe, it will compete with budget-friendly EVs like the Dacia Spring and Citroen e-C3, with an anticipated price tag of around €20,000. Hyundai UK's involvement in the teaser campaign suggests that the Inster will also be available in the UK market.

This new EV will be officially unveiled at the Busan International Mobility Show later this month. Hyundai has highlighted that the Inster will boast a range of 355 km according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). While these are the primary details disclosed at this stage, it is expected that additional information will be provided as the launch date approaches.

The anticipation surrounding the Inster is growing, as it promises to bring a competitive edge to the affordable EV market. With its reasonable pricing and substantial range, the Inster could attract a significant number of buyers looking for cost-effective and efficient electric transportation options.

In summary, Hyundai's upcoming Inster EV, which builds on the Casper ICE model, is generating excitement as it prepares for its official introduction. The vehicle's competitive pricing and impressive range could make it a strong contender in the European and Korean markets. More details will likely emerge soon, offering a clearer picture of what the Inster has to offer.
