2025 BYD Atto 3 Spotted in China Ahead Its Official Launch

The 2025 BYD Atto 3 has been seen undergoing road tests in China, ahead of its official release. This BYD vehicle boasts several updated features, including a refreshed exterior and new driver assistance technologies. The model is marketed as Yuan Plus in China and various other international regions.

Redesigned Exterior Features

The BYD Atto 3 2025 stands out with its newly updated front and rear bumpers, which bring a more aggressive and sporty look. The front now has a larger trapezoidal air intake, which enhances its aesthetic appeal. Similarly, the rear bumper features a similar trapezoidal pattern along with a decorative diffuser.

Fresh Roof Spoiler and New Color Option

A key change in the 2025 Atto 3 is its updated roof spoiler, which now incorporates vertically aligned dual brake lights. This design choice replaces the single strip light found on the previous model. Additionally, the 2025 Atto 3 was spotted in a new beige body color. For reference, the 2024 Atto 3 was available in several other hues, such as White, Black, Purple, Blue, Green, and Gray in China.

Sleeker Side Profile and ADAS Integration

On the side, the 2025 version of the Atto 3 shows off chrome-plated decorative strips and blackened rear pillars, contributing to its refined and dynamic look. Another notable update is the addition of a new camera in the front bumper. This upgrade indicates that the 2025 Atto 3 will feature enhanced ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) for better safety and driving assistance.

Powertrain and Size Stay Consistent

Despite the exterior updates and new features, the 2025 Atto 3 maintains the same powertrain and dimensions as the previous version. The SUV retains its 4455/1875/1615 mm body size, along with a wheelbase of 2720 mm. It will still be powered by a front axle electric motor producing 150 kW (201 hp), coupled with two LFP battery options. The 49.9 kWh battery offers a range of 430 km, while the 60.5 kWh battery extends the range to 510 km, all under CLTC conditions.

Pricing and Expected Launch

The current BYD Atto 3 is priced between 116,800 – 144,800 yuan (roughly 15,225 – 20,120 USD) in China. The updated 2025 Atto 3 is expected to be launched in Q2 2025. With its updated design and enhanced features, this new version is expected to remain a competitive option in the electric car market.
