Another Increase: Yamaha YBR125G Price Jumps by Rs. 18000

Barely a month has passed since Yamaha's substantial announcement of increased motorcycle prices, and now, just 19 days later, the company has once again implemented a significant price hike of Rs. 18,000.

It's important to note that this price adjustment specifically applies to the YBR 125G series, while the prices of other models remain unaffected. These new prices will become effective starting December 5, 2023.

This decision has caught many by surprise, especially as consumers were expecting a price reduction. This expectation was fueled by the recent trend of falling car prices following the appreciation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US dollar.

Here are the updated prices:

The YBR125G (Red/Black) now stands at Rs. 471,000, up from its previous price of Rs. 453,000, reflecting a Rs. 18,000 increase.

The Yamaha YBR125G (Matt Dark Gray/Matt Orange) is now priced at Rs. 474,000, compared to the previous rate of Rs. 456,000, with an increase of Rs. 18,000.

In the last price adjustment:

The Yamaha YB125Z (Red/Black) saw a hike of Rs. 15,500, reaching the new price of Rs. 396,000.

The Yamaha YB125Z-DX (Red/Blue/Black) increased from Rs. 423,500 to Rs. 440,500, with a Rs. 15,000 rise.

Yamaha YBR 125 (Red/Blue/Black) observed a jump of Rs. 16,500, taking the price to Rs. 435,500 against the previous Rs. 419,000.

This unexpected price surge is likely to dismay customers, especially considering the prevailing perception that motorcycles are already unaffordable for the inflation-burdened masses, despite being targeted at the middle-class segment of society.
