Following in the footsteps of Kia Lucky Motors, Hyundai Nishat Motors, Changan Pakistan, and Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), Honda Atlas Cars has also revised its pricing structure. If you're planning to purchase a Honda vehicle, this recent development could influence your buying decision.

On July 1, 2025, Honda officially issued a circular outlining new provisional prices for its locally assembled CKD models, marking a major shift in the Honda car price structure in Pakistan.

Reason Behind the Honda Price Hike
The key driver behind this sudden Honda Car price increase is the implementation of a new NEV (New Excise Value) levy, introduced under the Finance Act 2025-26 by the Government of Pakistan. Combined with economic pressures such as rupee depreciation and rising freight costs, automakers are finding it difficult to maintain previous pricing.

While Honda Atlas had earlier shielded consumers from external financial shocks, this newly imposed tax has made it inevitable for the brand to reflect the costs in its updated Honda car Prices.

Breakdown of New Honda Car Prices
Here are the new Honda prices effective from July 1, 2025:

  • The price of Honda City 1.2 MT has been revised from PKR 4,649,000 to PKR 4,696,000, registering a rise of PKR 47,000.
  • Honda City 1.2 CVT previously cost PKR 4,689,000 and now stands at PKR 4,737,000, marking a jump of PKR 48,000.

  • The cost of Honda Civic Oriel rose from PKR 8,659,000 to PKR 8,834,000, reflecting an upward adjustment of PKR 175,000.
  • Honda Civic Turbo RS has now reached PKR 10,100,000, up from PKR 9,899,000, showing a notable hike of PKR 201,000.

  • These provisional prices are subject to revision without prior notice.

  • All vehicles invoiced on or after July 01, 2025 will be charged based on the new price list.
  • Back-order customers with pending deliveries as of June 30, 2025 will also fall under the revised pricing.
  • The final price, including any applicable taxes, will be determined at the time of vehicle delivery.
  • Freight and Withholding Tax are not included in the listed prices and will be billed separately as per current rates.

These rates are applicable nationwide and take effect starting July 01, 2025.

In a notable move, Sazgar Engineering and MG Pakistan (specifically for the MG HS Trophy) chose to absorb the recently imposed NEV Levy, opting not to increase their car prices despite the tax burden.

Meanwhile, the overall automotive market in Pakistan remains under significant strain. With Kia, Suzuki, and now Honda implementing price hikes, the cost of purchasing a new vehicle continues to climb, adding to the financial pressure on buyers.

From a corporate standpoint, these adjustments may be justifiable. However, for consumers, they could prompt a rush to purchase before prices rise again—or a shift in interest toward more budget-friendly options.

If you're planning to buy a car, stay updated on market trends, compare alternatives carefully, and make well-informed decisions as the auto landscape continues to evolve.
