Sindh Starts Issuing International Driving Licenses

The Sindh government has extended its international driving license service to all 11 branches across the province. Initially, this service was only available at the Clifton branch in Karachi, limiting accessibility for many residents. With the expansion, residents throughout Sindh can now easily apply for their international driving licenses.

Online Application for Convenience

Residents with valid driving licenses can now apply for an international driving license online, eliminating the need to visit any branch in person. This move is designed to streamline the process and make it more convenient for applicants, ensuring faster service and accessibility.

Service Launched in Multiple Cities

According to DIG Training and Licensing, Iqbal Dara, the service officially launched on September 14 at six branches in Karachi, as well as branches in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana. This widespread availability ensures that people from various regions of Sindh can access the service with ease.

Growing Number of Licenses Issued

Since the service began, the Clifton branch has issued 693 international driving licenses. Additional branches, including those in Korangi, Malir, and Nazimabad, have also started processing applications, further increasing the number of licenses being issued across the province.

Online Fee Payment and License Delivery

For those opting for the online application, the system allows for fee payment of Rs 1,088. Applicants can also receive their international driving permits through TCS courier service, ensuring they don't have to visit a branch at all. This initiative aims to make the process smoother and more accessible to all Sindh residents.
